Retreats

Time away from everyday life can help us return to it more centred, grounded, and ready to offer who we are and what we have to those around us.

I relish regular personal retreat time – whether it’s a five-day silent retreat, or an afternoon alone in nature – and find it a vital and restorative experience. I also love hosting and facilitating retreats for others. Sometimes my teaching at SSU takes the form of an in-person retreat – hosted at my house or elsewhere – and I am part of a group of Ignatian spiritual directors that offers silent guided/directed retreats at the Villa Madonna Retreat House in Rothesay, NB.

It has also been a gift to co-host contemplative retreats with friends in recent years. In both 2023 and 2024 my dear friend and colleague, Nicky Temple, and I offered two different, wonderful retreat experiences in Dartmoor, England, together.

Then in May 2025, I collaborated with the amazing Mary Thoma to offer another contemplative weekend retreat for a small group of women, but this time on the North American side of the “pond,” in Maine. It was a beautiful time.

If you like the sound of these past offerings and are looking for a contemplative retreat host – online or in-person – and would like to discuss my availability and offerings, please also reach out from the Contact page.
